News from the Vlaamse Rand?

RandKrant

The RandKrant is a monthly magazine distributed to all the municipalities in the Vlaamse Rand. It contains a varied mixture of articles on hot topics in the Rand, and also human interest stories, plus regular restaurant and garden columns. The ‘Randuit’ supplement gives a list of the cultural and leisure activities in the Rand. The RandKrant is published by vzw ‘de Rand’.

Community Newspapers

In addition to the RandKrant, vzw ‘de Rand’ also publishes six community newspapers, in Drogenbos, Kraainem, Linkebeek, Sint-Genesius-Rode, Wemmel and Wezembeek-Oppem. They present a whole range of information about the municipality, club activities, the local community centre, the Rand and Flanders. These papers put particular emphasis on the community life of the municipality.

Ring-TV

Ring-TV is the regional broadcaster for the Vlaamse Rand (except Tervuren). It presents news and the Zina magazine, which covers a whole range of topics. Among the other programmes is the popular Toernee General, which visits one particular municipality every week, with surprising, humorous and moving reports.
